Enhanced Features for School Fundraising Events!
We are excited to announce a series of updates specifically designed to enhance the experience of school fundraising events on mycause. Recognising the unique needs of schools, we have introduced tailored settings and features to ensure a secure, private, and efficient fundraising environment.
Key School-Specific Features:
School Settings:
These new configurations help schools manage their fundraising events more effectively, providing a seamless experience for both students and donors.
Enhanced Privacy Controls:
To protect student information and maintain the privacy of participants, fundraising pages are not publicly displayed. Donors must search for a specific student name to find fundraising information, ensuring that only intended parties can view sensitive details.
Email Field Management:
In cases where an email address is not a required field, this field will be hidden, simplifying the donation process for users and eliminating unnecessary data entry.
Initial Display for Student Last Names:
To further protect student identities, last names will only be displayed as initials (e.g., David R). This measure promotes safety and privacy while still allowing for personalised fundraising campaigns.
Focused Donation Options:
Donations can only be made to an individual student, preventing donations aimed at a whole class. This ensures that each contribution directly supports the selected student’s fundraising efforts.
Customised Group Fundraising Pages:
Sometimes you may add the students to a class so there is no need for them to join themselves. To stop any confusion you can hide the “Join this class” button.
Class Member Privacy:
Class member names may be hidden on fundraising pages, though they remain visible on the donation form. This means the donor can still allocate the donation to a student, but the amount raised per student will not be displayed.
These enhancements are designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for school fundraising initiatives, helping schools raise funds with confidence.
